PHNOM PENH, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia recorded a total of 68,418 Chinese tourists to its renowned Angkor Archaeological Park in the first 10 months of 2025, up 7.6 percent from 63,545 over the same period last year, said a report released on Tuesday.

During the January-October period this year, China was the fourth biggest source of international tourist arrivals to the UNESCO-listed Angkor after the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, said the state-owned Angkor Enterprise's report.

Thourn Sinan, chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association Cambodia chapter, said the rising middle class in China, coupled with targeted marketing and expanded flight routes, should further boost Chinese arrivals to Cambodia.

"However, maintaining this growth will depend on sustained flight connectivity, visa facilitation, and the continued appeal of Cambodia's tourism offerings to Chinese travelers," he told Xinhua.

Situated in northwest Siem Reap province, the Angkor Archaeological Park, the most popular tourist destination in the Southeast Asian country, is home to 91 ancient temples built from the ninth to the 13th centuries.

The park attracted a total of 765,518 foreigners from 171 countries and regions during the first 10 months of this year, making a gross revenue of 35.57 million U.S. dollars from ticket sales, according to the report.
